Brokers: Capt. John Cochrane
Born in Galveston, Texas, Capt. John Cochrane grew up fishing and diving in the Gulf of Mexico. He has been a professional captain for over 30 years and has a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University. Starting in 1979, he began working aboard sportfishing vessels professionally. His work has taken him on two Atlantic crossings and to many outstanding fishing areas around the world.
John has a particular interest in custom sportfishing boats and is very experienced in the operation and maintenance of these vessels and their equipment. His international experience includes sales to Mexico, Central America, Australia and the Caribbean.
Greg "Doc" Keffer grew up on a ranch in Wyoming. He attended the University of Wyoming and has a MD degree from Creighton University. In 1989 he moved his practice to the Texas coast to pursue his love of offshore fishing. In the early 90's, he began fishing in Texas billfish tournaments and he has won or placed in many of them. In 1995, he caught a 743.5 lb. blue marlin, the 4th largest blue marlin ever caught off the Texas Coast. Greg's 30 year medical practice has supported his boating habit and he enjoys buying and selling boats as a hobby.
Greg has now retired from medicine and joined Fox Yacht Sales. He brings a wealth of knowledge, having owned many boats over the years. His other passion is diesel engines and he has an extensive knowledge of MAN, MTU, CAT and Detroit Diesel engines, having been his own mechanic on all of his boats. Greg is a respected source of advice among many for "unsolvable" boat problems and his knowledge and experience are shared with his clients when purchasing or selling a boat.
