The Luhrs 36 Convertible is truly innovative. Although the classic lines and Carolina flare are still there, the real improvement starts in the cockpit. Wide, molded steps rise from the cockpit floor to the flybridge. These BridgeWalk steps allow excellent access both up and down, even in a seaway. They also house an integrated, insulated cooler and a storage box perfect for docklines and electrical cords. Well lit for after-dark operations, these steps will make regular bridge ladders obsolete. The flybridge features ample space for all of the latest in electronics. Steering, controls, and instruments are all placed conveniently. A full half-tower complete with mounting pads for radar and antennas is standard, as are the tackle drawers, livewell, sink, rod holders, and washdowns. Even the coaming fishbox and rocket launcher is included. Many convertibles compromise the salon to accommodate the staterooms, but the Luhrs designers were creative in the layout allowing maximum use of the wide beam to retain an entertainment-sized salon and two private staterooms. Forward, the spacious master provides plenty of storage with two hanging lockers, and plenty of drawers. An innerspring mattress guarantees a better night1s sleep. The second stateroom with upper and lower berths converts to a sofa and features rod storage and a hanging locker. To port, the head is large and carries a separate stall shower and plenty of storage. Under the salon steps is a large storage area, perfect for rods, tools, or spare props. A U-shaped settee / dinette will handle the crew, and the television / VCR and stereo / CD will keep them entertained. The galley up is bright, airy and fully applianced.
